About

Padhnako Lagi Kotha (PLK)

Padhnako Lagi Kotha (PLK) is a local nonprofit organization registered under Nepal’s Associations Registration Act, 2034 and recognized by the Inland Revenue Department of Nepal. As an implementing partner of Room to Read Nepal, PLK works in close collaboration with local communities, partner organizations, and government agencies to empower children and youth through education.

We specialize in delivering impactful programs in Early Grade Literacy and Gender Equality in Education, aiming to instill a lifelong habit of reading among primary school children and supporting girls to complete their secondary education with critical life skills for success. We aim to create opportunities for every child to succeed in school and beyond by collaborating with local communities, partner organizations, and government bodies.

What We Do

In Nepal, education is a gateway to breaking the cycle of poverty. Yet, millions of children lack access to quality education, especially young girls. PLK is on a mission to change that by ensuring equitable access to learning resources and opportunities for every child.
